Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From Arizona State Linebacker Tate Romney

STILLWATER – Eric Morris and Co. have added another linebacker out of the portal as Arizona State transfer, Tate Romney, has committed to Oklahoma State. 

Romney checks in at 6-2, 225 pounds, and is originally out of Chandler, AZ. This past season as a redshirt junior, Romney recorded 13 total tackle, six of which were solo stops, with one fumble recovery, one pass break up and one pass deflection. 

Across his four-year career, Romney has played in 32 total games and has recorded 70 total tackles, 39 of which were solo stops, with four tackles for loss, one sack two fumble recoveries, five pass break ups and five pass deflections. 

He started his career at BYU and played in three games as a true freshman but didn’t record any stats before going on his mission. 

Romney is now the 27th player taken out of the portal for Morris and Co.
