National Signing Day: Oklahoma State Signs Defensive End Joey Quinn
Joey Quinn, DE (Edge), 6-6, 255, Chicago (Mt. Carmel), Ill.
Athletic Traits: Good speed for his size and mature physically at 6-6, 255 pounds, athletic for his size as evidenced by his work at tight end.
High School Honors and Statistics: He made several honor teams as a Sr. and Jr. in the Chicago-land area including the All-Southland Team in the Chicago Tribune; Sr. season had at least 11 sacks and 21 TFL taken from video and highlight video; Jr.season moved from offensive line and played only six games on defense, 13 tackles, four TFL and 2 sacks. His teams were very good finishing 14-0 and Class 8A State champions as a Sr. and as a Jr. they were runner-up with an 11-3 record.
Commitment Details: Committed to Oklahoma State on Feb. 3 after being offered on Jan. 29, 2026. He had committed to Vanderbilt on March 26, 2025 and de-committed on Oct. 15, 2025.

Our Thoughts: The first thing you notice his excellent technique on straight rush and getting off blocks, but also on stunts. He understands leverage and uses it on virtually every play. He has a strong bull rush, but also uses other moves well. He stays persistent and keeps his eyes beyond the blocker so as to adjust to where the play is going. He often makes tackles off that trait.
