Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From North Carolina Transfer Luka Bogavac

STILLWATER – The first transfer portal addition of the year for Steve Lutz and Co. comes from the ACC as North Carolina transfer forward Luka Bogavac has committed to Oklahoma State. 

Last season as a junior for the Tar Heels, Bogavac averaged 9.8 points per game on 40% shooting from the floor and 35% from 3-point range in 24.3 minutes per game. On the season, Bogavac had 73 assists to 38 turnovers with 12 steals.

Bogavac, which is pronounced BO-guh-VAHTS, is from Mojkovac, Montenegro and will be 23 by the time the 2026-27 season begins. 

Before arriving at North Carolina he spent two seasons playing with SC Derby Podgorica in the AdmiralBet ABA League. He played in 26 games in 2023-24 and averaged nearly eight points per game, which included going 28 for 87 from 3-point range. The following season, his averaged jumped up to 15 points per game and he was 61 for 154 from 3-point range across 29 games. That’s roughly three makes on just over five attempts per game.

Bogavac joins three returning players from this past season in point guard Kanye Clary, guard Ryan Crotty and big man Ben Ahmed.
