Oklahoma State Makes Top-5 For Five-Star 2022 Guard

STILLWATER – While there hasn’t been a commitment yet, the 2022 class is really starting to pick up some steam. Thursday morning, Oklahoma State made the top-5 for Keyonte George, a five-star shooting guard in the 2022 class.

The Cowboys are joined by Baylor, Kansas, Kentucky and Texas.

This decision is actually a little bit ahead of schedule as George originally discussed wanting to have a top-5 out in early June.

George is a 6-4, 185-pound shooting guard out of iSchool Entrepreneurial Academy in Lewisville, TX and checks in as the No. 6 overall prospect in the country and the No. 1 shooting guard and overall prospect out of Texas.

In 29 games this past season, George was electric as he averaged 23.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.1 steals per game.

While Kansas and Kentucky consistently pull in multiple five-star guys each season, Mike Boynton and Co. just landed their second five-star in as many seasons with Bryce Thompson last week. The year before was No. 1 overall prospect, and potential No. 1 overall draft pick in the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft, Cade Cunningham, who no doubt is being used as a recruiting tool.

George also told Eric Bossi of 247Sports current Cowboy Avery Anderson is one of his best friends, so that’s a definite plus in Boynton’s corner.
