STILLWATER – It took a few weeks, but according to reports, it appears Oklahoma State point guard Javon Small entered the transfer portal on Monday morning.
It was rumored a few weeks back Small had entered the portal, but he took to Twitter to say he wasn’t officially in the portal. Now, a week after new Oklahoma State head coach Steve Lutz was announced, the head man is going to have to find a point guard.
Small had a very good lone season in Stillwater as he posted 15.1 points per game to lead the Pokes in scoring. He also posted 4.7 rebounds per game, fourth on the team, as well as leading the team in assists at 4.1 per game.
With Small joining Brandon Garrison, Eric Dailey Jr. and Quion Williams in the transfer portal, Lutz now has eight scholarships to fill heading into the summer. It’s also possible more Cowboys could enter the portal as it doesn’t close until May 1.

I don't think the issue is that he is better or worse than those two. I think the issue is that he's a pretty good player, we need pretty good players, and he could be hard to replace in the portal.
BS.... he was playing with a team full of freaking freshman.PistolD said:
His assist to turnover ratio wasn't good for a point guard. I'm sure Lutz told him that and why he's in the portal most likely. He should be at two to one and he wasn't close to that. Hopefully we find a point that can equal his scoring and improve that ratio.
