Oklahoma State Lands Offensive Line Transfer From Miami (OH)

STILLWATER – Whenever Mike Gundy sends out a dancing GIF tweet, we know that Oklahoma State is receiving a commitment. Well, coach Gundy sent out his commitment tweet and just a short amount of time later, the Cowboys received a commitment from Danny Godlevske, an offensive lineman from Miami (OH).

“It all happened pretty fast,” Godlevske told Pokes Report. “I went in the portal and right away coach [Robert] Luce and coach [Charlie] Dickey hit me up and told me they wanted me. I took a virtual tour of the facilities and everything and liked what I saw. I got to know coach [Mike] Gundy and the other coaches. It’s just a great fit and I’m excited about coming to Oklahoma State.

This comes just a few hours after cowboy back Jelani Woods entered the transfer portal.

Godlevske is a 6-3, 300-pound offensive linemen out of Bishop Chatard in Indianapolis, IN. He’s a three-year starter for the RedHawks, 37 starts in 40 career appearances all at center, which will be a huge boost for the Cowboy offense as e’s a guy that’s capable of making the jump from Group of Five to Power Five.

Robert Allen will have Godlevske on his radio show tomorrow in the 11 o’clock hour on Triple Play Sports Radio. Tune in to hear Godlevske talk about his decision.

When the MAC originally announced they were going to play the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns, Godlevske opted out back in August. But when the MAC reversed that decision, Godlevske came back and started in the three games the RedHawks were able to play.

Pokes Report has learned that senior Josh Sills will be returning next season, and the addition of 6-9, 340-pound JUCO transfer out of Butler C.C., Caleb Etienne, will be another huge boost for the Cowboy offense.

This is better than having 2 returning OT's from the '019 O-Line even if one of them was rated as the best Offensive Tackle in all of College Football by Pro Football Focus.

I'm almost already feeling sorry for the Goons in advance of '21 Bedlam.

I am curious if Ry Schneider is seriously considering coming back for next season. If so that could be a pretty salty group of starters next season. Do you have any insight with Ry Robert or Marshall?

Interesting and good that Sills is staying.

I would not expect Ry to return next season.

Our offensive line started to come together late in the year, despite all of the injuries. With Sills returning and the addition of Etienne & Godlevske, we could be pretty decent up front next season.

Doesn't seem Josh is happy with the article!

It's a good thing that we upgraded our O-Line Coach.

The Aggies have given up 4 Sacks for the season (1/2 Sack per game)... and the SEC seems to have some pretty decent pass rushers. The Aggies also lead the SEC in Rushing Offense.

does the Aggie QB stand in the pocket lost until he goes down? Lots of thing go into "sacks", like down field coverage, like being able to scramble and get rid of the ball, like OLine injuries and the experience of the OLine.

Where are those comparisons? How does that Aggie line compare to ours in terms of upper classmen and experience? How is that Aggie QB at getting out of trouble when things break down? How good are the Aggie WRs at getting open and outplaying the coverage?

I don't think that you did the discussion much justice with only talking about the coach.
