Avyonne Jones Decommits From Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State’s 2022 recruiting class took a hit Sunday evening as Avyonne Jones, a Southlake Carroll cornerback, has decommitted from the Cowboys.
His decision comes one month and one day after he committed while in Stillwater for the April spring game. Avyonne went to Twitter to announce this decision.
Jones is a 5-11, 180-pounds and holds more than 20 offers, including Arizona, Arkansas, Cal, Colorado, Houston, Kansas State, Louisville, Mississippi State, Northwestern, Tennessee, Texas Tech and Tulsa amoung others.
This news brings the number of Cowboy commits from 10 down to nine with Cameron Epps being the only cornerback commit now. This decision also comes just one week before recruiting opens up for the first time in 15 months due to COVID-19.
Jones is currently scheduled for an official visit to Oklahoma State June 9-11 but that trip is now uncertain.
Pokes Report will continue to monitor the situation.
