SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – For the second day in a row, Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team posted the low round of the day at the NCAA Championship to extend its lead with one round remaining at Grayhawk Golf Club.

The Cowboys, who matched Florida State with a 6-under tally for the best of the day, used their second consecutive 274 to push their margin to 13 shots over Oklahoma at the par-70, 7,289-yard layout. Through 54 holes, OSU is the only team under par, standing at 12-under 828. The Sooners are second at 841, while Arizona State stands at 2-over 842 and in third place.

OSU’s Bo Jin fired his third consecutive sub-70 round at the event and fifth in a row overall to maintain the lead in the individual race. The freshman posted a 69 to stand at 9-under 201 and two shots clear of Clemson’s Turk Pettit.

Jin is vying to become OSU’s 10th individual NCAA champion and its second in a row after Matthew Wolff’s victory in 2019.

After opening his round with a pair of pars, Jin birdied the third and fourth before carding a bogey at the fifth. He bounced back with a birdie at the sixth before carding 11 consecutive pars. He would bogey the 18th to conclude his day.

Eugenio Chacarra fired a 2-under 68 to move inside the top 10. He stands at 3-under 207 and is tied for eighth. The sophomore went out in 2-under 33 with an outward nine that included three birdies. He would add four more birdies on his back nine as well.

Junior Austin Eckroat continued his surge up the board, climbing 21 spots into a tie for 12th place at 210 after signing for a 3-under 67. Eckroat’s round featured six birdies, including four on his second nine as well.

Sophomore Brian Stark finished the day tied for 34th place after posting a 74 to stand at 215.

Sophomore Aman Gupta carded his low round of the event with a 70 to climb 30 spots into a tie for 41st place at 216.
