5-Star Texas Receiver Brenen Thompson Includes Oklahoma State in Final Six

One of the top wide receivers in the 2022 class, and on Oklahoma State’s board, Brenen Thompson, has included the Cowboys in his list of final six schools in his recruitment. 

His announcement comes after a busy month of June in which he traveled the country for official visits which included Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas, and Texas A&M. Clemson and Alabama were the other two schools on the list although he has not visited them yet.

Landing Thompson will not be easy for the Cowboys staff but from all accounts, they made a very strong impression on him and his family when he was in Stillwater for his official visit June 9-11.

A very important component of that visit was that he was on campus at the same time as all the Cowboy commits including Garret Rangel, who is the headliner quarterback in this class for the Cowboys. 

The Spearman, Texas, standout has dwindled his recruitment down to six from an impressive list of 36 offers. 

Thompson has given a commitment date yet but is expected he will make a decision after all of his visits are complete and as of right now, he has an official visit scheduled for Alabama in November.
