Dowell, Rodriguez, and Yochum Earn Pre-Season All-Big 12 Soccer

IRVING, Texas - A league-high three Oklahoma State players have been named to the 2021 Preseason All-Big 12 Conference Soccer Team. In a vote of the league’s head coaches, OSU’s Olyvia Dowell, Kim Rodriguez and Grace Yochum each received that recognition.

All three Cowgirls collected All-Big 12 honors a year ago, with Rodriguez and Dowell earning first-team status and Yochum being named to the second team.

Dowell is coming off a season in which she led the Big 12 and ranked sixth nationally with 12 goals, the most ever by an OSU sophomore. She also added a league leading seven assists and ranked fifth in the NCAA with 31 points.

A native of Longview, Texas, Dowell has earned All-Big 12 honors in each of her first two seasons in an OSU uniform and enters her junior season with 17 goals and 15 assists in her career.

A two-time All-American, Rodriguez returns for her fifth season with the Cowgirls in 2021. A defender from Porter, Texas, she ranks seventh on OSU’s all-time list with 21 assists. Rodriguez is a three-time All-Big 12 selection and has earned a spot on the first team each of the last two seasons.

A native of Houston, Yochum enters her fourth season in Stillwater with 27 career goals, which ranks seventh on OSU’s career chart. Last season, she led the Big 12 and was sixth nationally with 12 goals, and her eight game-winning goals was an NCAA best.

Yochum is a two-time All-Big 12 honoree, including being a first-team pick as a sophomore in 2019.
