STILLWATER – On Thursday new junior college arrival Caleb Etienne took his first snaps with the first-team offense in practice as he battles incumbent Taylor Miterko for the left tackle spot on the offensive line. Etienne is a New Orleans native that was a junior college All-American at Fort Scott C.C. before transferring to Butler County C.C. The New Orleans, La. native is 6-8.25, 350-pounds and he looks as good as you would expect. Oklahoma State and head coach Mike Gundy, recruiting coordinator Todd Bradford, and offensive line coach Charlie Dickey have put a priority on adding length to the OSU offensive line. Thursday the Pokes offered Missouri City Ridge Point senior and Louisiana Tech commitment Calvin Harvey a scholarship. Harvey is a 6-8, 330-pound offensive tackle prospect that shows excellent hand placement, strength, and good athletic feet.

Harvey has offers from SMU, Houston, Grambling, New Mexico, North Texas, Texas State, and Western Kentucky in addition to Oklahoma State and Louisiana Tech, who he committed to on July 2.
According to 247Sports, Harvey is a three-star prospect. Pokes Report has now evaluated him and sees him on the high end of a three-star prospect and be rising. His top end play matches as good an offensive line prospects as we’ve seen in the 2022 class. Consistency is what could buoy him to a higher ranking.
What could be an advantage for the Cowboys is that freshman slot receiver John Paul Richardson, who arrived in spring and is off to a very good start with his college career is from Ridge Point and a former teammate of Calvin Harvey. That couldn’t hurt as Oklahoma State works to get Harvey to reconsider his situation.
Oklahoma State has one offensive line commitment in the 2022 class in Austin Kawecki out of Frisco (Lebanon Trail), Texas. The Cowboys are looking for at least two, maybe three more offensive linemen in the class.
