STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football released its depth chart a week before the season opener against Missouri State on Sept. 4.
As we’ve known since the summer, Spencer Sanders is the starting quarterback. The starting receivers are Tay Martin, Brennan Presley, Braydon Johnson and freshman Blaine Green.
There haven’t been too many times a true freshman has started at receiver for OSU. The last one who comes to mind would be Dez Bryant in 2007.
Other freshman who worked their way into the lineup are Jaden Bray just behind Tay Martin, and John Paul Richardson just behind Presley.
There are several position battles which took place throughout the spring and Fall Camp which shows on the depth chart, which was expected. Left tackle is either Taylor Miterko or Caleb Etienne. I was a little surprised at the running back spot, which has all four backs with an “or”: LD Brown or Dezmon Jackson or Dominic Richardson or Jaylen Warren.
The corners shape out to be Jarrick Bernard-Converse and Christian Holmes as starters, then Jabbar Muhammad behind Bernard-Converse and Korie Black behind Holmes.
