Rangel Throws for 298-Yards and Four Touchdowns in Opening Win
A huge opening night to the season for quarterback Garret Rangel and the Frisco Lone Star team as they cruised to a 59-14 win over San Antonio Cornerstone playing in The Star in Frisco. Rangel, the 2022 quarterback commitment to Oklahoma State, lit it up and didn’t even play in the fourth quarter. He connected on 15-of-18 passing for 298-yards and ran four times for 20-yards.

Rangel had no interceptions to take away from his four touchdown passes. After Cornerstone scored first, Ashton Jeanty scored on a long run to tie the game. Then Rangel connected with Jeanty on a 34-yard touchdown pass for the first Lone Star lead at 14-7.
Rangel proceeded to hit Devin Turner with a 20-yard touchdown pass, Evan Stein was the receiver on a short four-yard touchdown pass, and Jackson Bowden caught the final Rangel scoring toss with a 14-yard touchdown.
Rangel is a four-star prospect according to Pokes Report and ESPN has bumped his rating up as well.
