C.J. Brown of Beggs on a Roll the Last Two Weeks
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State fans can be excited about the upcoming 2022 recruiting class and the running back talent that is in that class. This past week the Tulsa World prep staff named running back C.J. Brown, another Cowboy commitment from Beggs High School, their Prep Offensive Player of the Week. Down in Texas, and having moved to quarterback, Ollie Gordon had over 200-yards of total offense against Texas defending Class 6A-I champion Austin Westlake. He is off to a great start with close to 300-yards rushing.
Last week Brown, on 22 rushes, had a whopping 364 yards and six touchdowns in a 74-48 win over Rejoice Christian. Brown and his Beggs teammate Red Martel combined for 587 yards and 10 TDs against a team that defeated defending Class A champion Cashion a week earlier.
Pokes Report featured Brown in the first week (zero week) of the season when they traveled to play another defending state champion in Lincoln Christian.
Beggs’ next game is Friday, Sept. 17, when they host Chandler.
