Oklahoma State Multiple Big 12 Players of the Week Following Boise State Game
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State keeps the wins coming following the 21-20 road win over Boise State as they had three Big 12 Player of the Week honors.
Running back Jaylen Warren was tabbed both the Offensive and Newcomer of the Week, while Jason Taylor II was tabbed the Special Teams Player of the Week.
This is the first Big 12 PotW honors for both players.
Warren burst out onto the scene on Saturday as he posted a career-high 218-yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries. His 75-yard touchdown carry marked the longest carry by an OSU player since Chuba Hubbard scored on a 92-yarder against TCU in 2019.
As for Taylor II, he blocked the 36-yard go-ahead Boise State field goal with 2:09 left in the game to preserve the 21-20 win for the Pokes. He also posted four total tackles, three of which were solo stops, as well as a quarterback hurry.
With redshirt senior safety Tre Sterling out for the year with an injury, Taylor II moves into a starting role in the secondary, which gives him more opportunities to make plays like the pick-six that was called back against Tulsa.
