STILLWATER – Former Baylor Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Robert Griffin III will be at Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday. He will be the analyst on the ESPN2 broadcast of the game. He told a group of media in a teleconference this week that he is excited and honored to be chosen to call a game involving his alma mater, but he said he would be calling the game down the line. He understands his responsibilities in that role.

Nice to welcome RG3 back to the place he never won. I remember those games well and enjoyed them thoroughly. Maybe next year, when the game is in Waco, Weeden can be the analyst. GO POKES!!!

he broadcast with a lot of excitement in his voice, but I didn't care much for his commentary.

He sounded like Chris Rock imitating Robin Williams doing a stand up comedy act with multiple personalities and him providing the voices for all of them.... once his out of body experiences ended, he would drift back into the broadcast booth for a series or so, and then right back into his multiple-personality monolog.

I thought RG3 did very well and was VERY fair & balanced, perhaps even more doting on O-State than his alma mater. He may not have been as polished as the veterans in the booth, but he was MUCH MUCH better than when Mark Helfrich was in the booth for the Boise State game. Helfrich didn't have much of anything to say about the Cowboys but went on and on and on about the greatness of Boise State, ad nauseum. Almost literally. I wouldn't mind RG3 in the booth for any game I watch.

I would agree he was fairly balanced, it was just weird.

He's got the gift of gab needed for that type of job, but he shouldn't hold all of the conversations with himself.

I saw a few other posts complaining that he was biased, but like you, I didn't thinks so.
