Cowboys Get Game Under the Lights Against Kansas for Homecoming
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State fans will have plenty of time to enjoy the Homecoming festivities next weekend as the Cowboys have an evening tilt against Kansas.
Homecoming kickoff against the Jayhawks has been set for 6 p.m. CT and will be televised on FS1.
The No. 8 Cowboys are fresh off a 32-24 win over No. 25 Texas on the road in Austin. They got off to a bit of a rocky start, but really turned up the pressure in the second half as the Pokes scored 19-unanswered points, while the defense held the Longhorns to just 92 second-half yards and just one rushing yard in the fourth quarter.
The win in Austin moved the Pokes to 6-0 on the season, 3-0 in conference play and marked the sixth win in Austin in the past seven attempts. The game also marked the first time in school history the Pokes won three-straight game against AP Top-25 opponents.
As for the Jayhawks, they’re coming off a 41-14 home loss to Texas Tech and are currently 1-5 on the season.
The Cowboys have another tough game ahead of them this weekend as they travel up the Ames, IA for a showdown with the Cyclones. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT on FOX.
