New Cowboy Pledge Tyrone Webber Earns 4th Star On Multiple National Ranking Sites

October 19, 2021

Today was a good day for the newest Oklahoma State commitment, Tyrone Webber, as he was ranked as the No. 1 2022 JUCO prospect in the nation and earned his 4th star by two prominent national rankings services, Rivals and 247Sports.

Webber has consistently been in the top five ranking out of JUCO prospects but after being the star left tackle for a 6-0 New Mexico Military Institute team, he is earning his praise.

This is good for Oklahoma State as he they landed Webber’s commitment just three days ago after the win over Texas.

Pokes Report spoke to Webber after his commitment who had this to say.

“The thing I liked about Oklahoma State is that it is all about family,” Webber said. “They made me feel that I was family and made my family welcome. Coach (Charlie) Dickey, Coach (Mike) Gundy, and Coach (Zach) Crabtree can all help me become the player that I want to be and get me to the level of football that I want to play.”

“Webber is a unique combination of being athletic and strong. He will be a good fit for Oklahoma State as he would have been for Texas A&M, Auburn, Missouri, and Mississippi as all four schools were working hard to get him. He was being recruited by former OSU offensive line coach Josh Henson for the Aggies and the word was Henson was pushing it hard. Webber made the visit to Missouri and had visits set up to Auburn and Mississippi. In all, 30 schools offered Webber a scholarship,” Pokes Report’s Robert Allen wrote on the newest pledge.

In the Pokes Report’s rankings, Webber is the 6th 4-star prospect in the 2022 class joining, Talyn Shettron, Ollie Gordon, Garret Rangel, CJ Brown, and Braylin Presley.
