Stillwater Gets Sneak Peek at Barry Sanders Satute
STILLWATER – Some Oklahoma State fans got a sneak peek at the Barry Sanders statue early Friday morning as it made its way from Enid to Stillwater on the back of a flatbed truck, even making a stop for breakfast at Braum’s.
It’s caused quite the stir on social media Friday morning and with the cat out of the bag, it resulted in this fun Tweet from the Cowboy football Twitter account.

You can get a much better look at the statue in OSU’s tweet, which shows just how large it really is. I do suppose it would be difficult to transport something like that discreetly.
The statue, which is nine-feet tall, features Barry in a Heisman pose carrying the football, certainly an appropriate look which will look great outside Boone Pickens Stadium.
The athletic department will unveil the statue two hours before kickoff against TCU, just after the end of The Walk to the stadium from the Student Union. They’ll also honor Barry as soon as halftime begins by inducting him into the OSU Ring of Honor.
