Pokes in the NFL: Week 10

We’re already through 10 weeks of action in the NFL, so let’s take a look at how the former Oklahoma State Cowboys in the league performed, starting with Rudolph2Washington.

With Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger being placed on the COVID-19 list, Mason Rudolph got the nod at quarterback against the Detroit Lions. While I’m sure it’s not the case, I’m just not total sold both sides weren’t trying to lose the game. Let’s dive right in, shall we?

Mason Rudolph and James Washington: Pittsburgh Steelers

Cowboy fans rejoiced on Sunday as the former OSU duo connected for a touchdown against the Lions. Certainly, a nice trip down memory lane.

Mason finished the day going 30-of-50 for 242 yards with one touchdown and one interception. As for James, he finished with two catches for 15 yards and a touchdown on six targets.

It marked the first touchdown of the season for both James and Mason.

The Steelers and Lions fought all the way to a 16-16 tie in overtime. The Steelers travel out to LA to face the Chargers this weekend for Sunday Night Football. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC.

Chuba Hubbard: Carolina Panthers

The Canadian Cowboy got back into the end zone this past weekend as the Panthers rolled to a 34-10 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Chuba finished with nine carries for 27 yards and one touchdown.

He currently has 120 carries for 421 yards and three touchdowns. Not too shabby for a backup rookie who was thrust into starting due to injury.

The Panthers will host Washington this coming weekend for a noon CT kick on FOX (check your local listing).

Amen Ogbongbemiga: Los Angeles Chargers

Amen continues to make an improve during his rookie season as he recorded two total tackles, both of which were solo stops, one sack and two quarterback hits in the 27-20 loss to Minnesota this past weekend.

That marks his first recorded sack this season.

The Chargers host the Steelers this weekend for Sunday Night Football. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC.

Matt Ammendola: New York Jets

Philly Ammendola continues to bang home field goals as he scored five of the 17 points the Jets had in the 45-17 loss to Buffalo. He went 1-for-1 on field goal and 2-for-2 on extra points.

It’ll be the battle of the bottom dwellers as the 2-7 Jets hosts the 3-7 Dolphins this weekend with a noon CT kick on CBS (check your local listing).
