Oklahoma State recorded its first shutout since an 84-0 win over Savannah State in 2012.
The shutout marked the first for the Cowboys in conference play and on the road against a conference opponent since OSU blanked Oklahoma, 12-0, in Norman on Nov. 11, 1995.
OSU had four quarterback sacks, giving them 41 on the season. That total is the fifth-most in program history; the record is 44 set in 1983.
Texas Tech entered the game averaging 33.6 points and 440.6 yards of total offense per game. OSU held the Red Raiders to just 108 total yards, an average of 1.9 yards per play, and racked up 12 tackles for loss.

Tay Martin finished with seven catches for an OSU career-high 130 yards. It was the senior’s fourth 100-yard receiving game of the season, and the seventh of his career. Three of those came while playing at Washington State during the 2018 season, including a career-best 149 yards against Eastern Washington.
The Oklahoma State defense limited Texas Tech to on third down conversions. Over the last four games, opposing offenses are 7-of-54 (13 percent) on third down conversions.
The win over Texas Tech was Spencer Sanders’ 22nd as Oklahoma State’s starting quarterback. The only other OSU QBs with 20 or more career wins as a starter are Mason Rudolph (32), Mike Gundy (28), Brandon Weeden (23) and Zac Robinson (23).
Game captains for Oklahoma State were Hunter Woodard, Jarrick Bernard-Converse, Brock Martin and Mason Cobb.
A trio of Cowboys made their first-career starts – Blaine Green (WR), Jaden Bray (WR) and Joe Michalski (OL – C).
Malcolm Rodriguez moved into a tie for eighth on OSU’s career games started list with 45, while Jarrick Bernard-Converse is now tied for 10th on that list with 44.
