CJ Brown
Running Back
6′0″ / 175 lbs
Beggs, OK
Beggs
Class of 2022
Profile: Brown absolutely blew it out in his senior season as he rushed for 2,189-yards and 29 touchdowns in helping Beggs to the Class 2A Semifinals. He was also named the Class 2A-7 District MVP and is a shoo-in for Unanimous All-State honors. As a junior he was All District and rushed for 1,529-yards and 19 touchdowns. His career totals are 5,744-yards and 88 touchdowns scored. He had offers from the likes of Arkansas, Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas State, SMU, and TCU. He is a complete player that can also catch balls out of the backfield and is an accomplished kickoff and punt returner on special teams.
Robert Allen’s Projection: Brown is a huge talent that fits in early. He should be capable of playing some early and having a natural progression into filling a role at running back and in the offense. He also gives the Cowboys another option to look at with special teams and returns.
Ollie Gordon
Running Back
6′1″ / 210 lbs
Euless, TX
Trinity
Class of 2022
Profile: Gordon is a freak of nature and has been one of the best players in the tradition rich Euless Trinity High School football program. He leaves as one of the top all-time performers in Trojans history. He was a running back up until this past season when former Westmoore (Oklahoma) head coach, now the head coach at Trinity moved him to a “wildcat” style quarterback. Gordon rushed for 2,376-yards this season and had 4,878-yards in his career. He had 35 rushing touchdowns this season and 68 overall. In his junior season he ran for 456-yards and six touchdowns in a playoff upset over Allen. He threw for 293-yards this season and 311-yards in his career with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Gordon also had 13 career receptions for 241-yards and four touchdowns. Gordon was a first-team All-State (TSWA) as a junior and he will be a certain repeat this season. He is the District 3-6A MVP for this season. Gordon committed to Oklahoma State early and stayed loyal but had some strong offers including Baylor, BYU, Missouri, Houston, Southern Cal, and others.
Robert Allen’s Projection: Gordon is unbelievable as a talent, and he is strong and durable. His experience at the highest level of Texas high school football translates as contributor fairly quickly. He is a difference maker.
