Tuesday's Matchup Against USC Canceled Due To COVID-19 Cases In Trojans Program
Late Sunday morning, USC athletics released a statement that the upcoming Tuesday game in Oklahoma City against Oklahoma State would be canceled due to COVID-19 issues in the Trojan program.
“The USC men's basketball game against Oklahoma State in the Compete 4 Cause Classic this Tuesday (Dec. 21) in Oklahoma City has been canceled due to confirmed COVID-19 cases within the Trojans program. The non-conference game will not be rescheduled. USC's priority is the health and well-being of its student-athletes and everyone associated with its men's basketball program. Accordingly, USC's team activities have been paused, and the status of future games is to be determined.”
Pokes Report has learned that there is a chance that Oklahoma State will look to find a replacement or make up game to play in the coming weeks against another opponent. Nothing is confirmed but the Cowboys program will be seeing what options are available
If they do not find a replacement game, the Cowboys next scheduled game is Jan. 1, New Years Day, against Texas Tech as Big 12 conference play begins.
