Oklahoma State Offers a Pair of 2023 4-Star Running Backs
Oklahoma State running backs coach John Wozniak was a busy man Tuesday evening, offering two 4-star running backs in the class of 2023.
Cedric Baxter, out of Orlando Edgewater (FL), and Kaleb Jackson, out of Baton Rouge Liberty Magnet (LA).
While both prospects are 4-stars, they have two very different recruitments. Baxter is approaching 40 offers with just about every premier program in the boat. Jackson though is approaching 10 offers with a lot of southern flavor.
The pair becomes the 8th and 9th running backs to be offered by the Cowboys in the 2023 class.
This was Baxter’s first season as a feature back and he certainly proved his talents. He carried the ball 185 times in 10 games, racking up 1,576 yards and 21 touchdowns. He had seven games of 100+ yards.
Jackson had an even crazier year, only running the ball 138 times but finishing the season with 2,031 yards and 29 touchdowns. He ran for over 100 yards in all of his eleven games.
Both Baxter and Jackson have and will continue to have crowded and busy recruitments so landing them will be tough, but Oklahoma State has given them a solid chance with Chuba Hubbard and Jaylen Warren being in the national spotlight in recent years. The running back position is one that recruits can see developed in Stillwater.
