Braylin Presley Tabbed MaxPreps Oklahoma Football Player of the Year
STILLWATER – As local and national outlets continue to pass out their postseason honors, Oklahoma State 2022 signee Braylin Presley has picked up yet another national honor. On Wednesday, MaxPreps tabbed the Bixby standout the 2021 MaxPreps Oklahoma High School Football Player of the Year.
This marks the second year in a row Presley has won the award.
There’s really no question Presley’s the best football player in Oklahoma. He helped lead Bixby to its fourth-straight state championship while putting up some impressive numbers. He rushed for 1,118 yards and 17 touchdowns, while hauling in 652 yards and seven touchdowns. That includes another impressive performance in the state title game against Edmond Deer Creek as he opened the game with a halfback passing hitting Preston Solomon in stride for a 76-yard touchdown. He also rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns, including a 94-yarder.
Following the season, he was tabbed 2021-22 Gatorade Oklahoma Football Player of the Year, marking the third-straight season an Oklahoma State signee has earned the award.
For his career, he rushed for nearly 5,000 yards, 4,978, and 75 touchdowns and hauled in 145 catches for 1,684 yards and 23 touchdowns.
His numbers would be much higher, but you have to remember he basically played in only the first half of nearly every game the past few seasons.
