Blake Jarwin Set To Make Return from Injured Reserve
The 2021 season certainly hasn’t gone the way former Oklahoma State standout tight end Blake Jarwin has wanted it to go. Following tearing his ACL in the season opener of the 2020 season, Jarwin returned for the 2021 season, but never fully returned to his pre-injury form as he hauled in just 10 receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns in just eight games before being sidelined with a hip injury against the Minnesota Vikings.
Well, things are certainly starting to look up for Jarwin as he has finally been taken off the injured reserve list after 10 weeks on the sidelines. This gives him a 21-day window to practice before Dallas is forced to either activate Jarwin to the 53-man roster or return him to the IR.
Based on when he was released from the IR, Jarwin’s 21-day window is set to expire on Jan. 25, with the playoffs beginning for the Cowboys the second week of January.
That means if the Cowboys win their Wild Card game, most likely against the Arizona Cardinals, Jarwin could possibly be ready for the Divisional round the following week.
Just prior to the ACL injury, Jarwin signed a three-year extension with the Cowboys worth up to $24.25 million, with $9.25 million guaranteed.
