2022 Desoto Wide Receiver Stephon Johnson Will Visit Stillwater This Weekend
When all of the commitments signed in December, it was pretty much assumed that the 2022 class was done for the Cowboys other than transfers coming in during the spring and summer, but that is no longer the case.
As of a few minutes ago, the Cowboys have scheduled a visit for 2022 wide receiver Stephon Johnson, who is a former Oregon commitment. He opened up his recruitment on January 5th after the head coaching change at Oregon.
His offer list of 17 includes names such as Oregon, USC, Penn State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and others.
Johnson committed to the Ducks in March 2021 and the Cowboys offered in May. There has not been much noise around Johnson since he committed so this visit is a bit of a surprise. If Johnson were to commit, he would join an impressive group in Talyn Shettron, Braylin Presley, and Mason Gilkey.
If he ended up at Oklahoma State, it would also add to the pipeline of Desoto players to play in Stillwater.
AJ Green, Chris Lacy, Tatum Bell, LD Brown, and Jabbar Muhammad are just some of the names to come in from Desoto.
