Stillwater Offensive Lineman JaKobe Sanders Commits to Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State picked up its fourth commitment of the 2023 class early Tuesday morning as Stillwater local JaKobe Sanders pledged to Oklahoma State.
Sanders is the second offensive lineman of the recruiting class, joining Jack Endean out of Arizona.
It was only this past Saturday after the Cowboys junior day event that Sanders told Pokes Report it would not be long until he committed. He kept his word and made it official now just three days later.
Sanders is a dominant center and interior player at Stillwater, which is what he projects at the next level as well. He measures in at 6’2 and around 280 pounds. He has a thick body and a powerful lower half. He is one of, if not the, top offensive lineman in the state in next year’s class.
Sanders only offer at the moment is the one from the Cowboys, but I suspect that might also be because outside schools expected the Cowboys would be his choice all along. I still would not be surprised to see some schools jump in the mix of the next year. A similar process took place with Sanders former teammate and OSU freshman, linebacker Gabe Brown.
Offensive line is a very strong need for the Cowboys right now, having two of the four commitments in the 2023 class at that position is positive. I would expect the Pokes to bring in 4-6 offensive lineman in this class, so this is a very good start.
