Oklahoma State is looking for its second top-10 win of the season as they're set to face off against No. 6 Kansas for a Big Monday showdown in Allen Fieldhouse.
Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT on ESPN.
The Cowboys are fresh off one of their biggest wins of the season, an 81-58 win over West Virginia on Saturday in Stillwater. The win got the Pokes back to .500 on the season, 12-12, and to 5-7 in Big 12 play. They were led by Avery Anderson III and Moussa Cisse, both of which posted 18 points, with Cisse hauling in 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.
The Jayhawks are coming off a close win over OU this past weekend, 71-69. In fact, the Sooners led most of the second half, but it was a late run by KU that put the Jayhawks over the top. They were led by Jalen Wilson, who posted 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting and nine rebounds.
Free throws, or rather missed free throws, were the story of the game for KU as they went just 13-of-23 from the charity stripe.
The Jayhawks are led by senior guard Ochai Agbaji, who’s currently in a bit of a slump the past few weeks. During that stretch, he’s averaging 13.3 points on 36.4% shooting and 30.4% from 3-point range. However, when you look at his season stats, he’s averaging 19.9 points a game on 50% shooting from the field and 44% from 3-point range.
Next on the scoring list for KU is Jalen Wilson, who’s averaging 10.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
KU took the first of the two games earlier this year, with three guys scoring double figures. David McCormack led the with 17 points and 15 rebounds in just 23 minutes of action. Agbaji was next on the list with 16 points and Christian Braun with 15 points.
As for the Pokes, they were led by Isaac Likekele who posted a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds on 7-of-15 shooting from the field.
It’s always a tough one in Lawrence and tonight’s no different as the Jayhawks are 10.5 point favorites.
