Watch: Mike Boynton Addresses 66-64 Overtime Loss to Baylor
STILLWATER – Monday night’s game against No. 10 Baylor was one of the more exciting games we’ve seen from Oklahoma State this season.
The Pokes had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation with a shot from Bryce Thompson, but it was off the mark. Isaac Likekele came up with an offensive rebound and just kind of flipped the ball up over his shoulder as time expired and it went in before the game clock hit zero. However, the shot clock had just expired before he released the ball.
They had a chance to win it in overtime as well but finished the game on a two-minute scoring drought.
Head coach Mike Boynton met with the media following the game and gave his thoughts, which he started with the opening statement below.
"Many of you guys have been around me for a while now and know I'm pretty honest, I'm really proud of our kids. Hard game against the defending national champion. You know, hate that we missed out on an opportunity to finish it. I thought our fans were tremendous, specifically our students. They keep showing up for these kids. I'm just thankful to be their coach. So, obviously this thing's winding down for us all, and try to capture every moment we can."
You can watch his postgame press conference in its entirety in the video above.
Next on the schedule will be Bedlam part two this coming Saturday, with an 11 a.m. CT tip on CBS.
