Oklahoma State Offers Two 2024 Defenders Including 5 Star Defensive Lineman
Oklahoma State extended two offers on Wednesday afternoon to two class of 2024 Top-50 nationally ranked prospects, one a five star.
The first offer is 4-star defensive back out of Many, Louisiana, Tylen Singleton. Many may sound familiar to Oklahoma State fans because the Cowboys are also recruiting Many linebacker Tackett Curtis in the 2023 class, who is also a highly ranked prospect.
Singleton is 6’0” and 200 pounds and able to play safety, cornerback, or wide receiver. He was offered as a defender for the Cowboys.
Singletone played varsity as a freshman in 2020 and helped Many to a 12-0 record and the Louisiana 2A state championship. In his sophomore season, he racked up 75 total tackles, four interceptions, four tackles for loss, and one sack. Two of his interceptions were returned for touchdowns.
The second offer of the afternoon was extended to 5-star Melissa, Texas, defensive lineman, Nigel Smith.
Smith is a 6’5” 260 pound defenisve lineman, who in his sophomore season, accumulated 66 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. He has reported 17 offers in his recruitment.
Smith is going to be a highly touted recruit being in Texas so the Cowboys will have their work cut out for them, but with the way the Oklahoma State defensive lineman have been producing recently, Stillwater could be appealing for him.
Oklahoma State has been heavy on the defenisve offers in recent weeks which could point to this year being a defensive heavy class just as the 2021 class was.
