4-Star Running Back Tre Wisner Names Cowboys In Top Eight

Tre Wisner, four-star running back out of Waco Connally has had a very strong recruitment to this point, earning 20 offers from some of the top programs in the country. Yesterday, Wisner took the next step in his recruitment process and released a top eight list. And Oklahoma State made the cut.

In the group was Oklahoma State, USC, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Florida State, Texas A&M, and Arkansas. 

Oklahoma State offered Wisner just over a year ago on February 18, so the John Wozniak and the Cowboys staff has put in time and effort into this recruitment and Wisner has reciprocated that work. 

The relationship with Wisner is likely aided by former Waco Connally star Korie Black being on the roster in Stillwater which has also led to Kobe Black, Korie’s brother, being pursued. Kobe looks like he will be on the top cornerbacks in the country in the 2024 class.

With Korie and Kobe’s family being so intertwined into Oklahoma State, it seems that has and will certainly help in the recruitment of Wisner as he and Kobe are very close teammates and friends. 

In his career so far, Wisner has rushed the ball only 137 times but has racked up 1,809 yards with 27 touchdowns. Through the air, he has caught 31 passes for 422 yards and three touchdowns.
