Oklahoma State 2022 Combo Guard Prospect Decommits from South Carolina
STILLWATER – Another prospect in the 2022 class has become available. Bryce Lindsay, a combo guard out of Baltimore, MD, took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce he’s decommitted from South Carolina.
Lindsay’s a 6-3, 170-pound sharpshooting combo guard out of St. Frances Academy. He committed to South Carolina in late Jan. 2022 and has since decommitted due to South Carolina parting ways with former head coach Frank Martin.
What makes this situation a little bit more unique is Lindsay had yet to sign a letter of intent. So, it’s simply a decommitment, rather than going through the NCAA for a release, like former Kentucky signee Skyy Clark did in early March.
While he’d still need to develop to play at the next level, like most high school players, Lindsay would be a solid addition to the 2022 class for Boynton and Co. Following the final game of the season, Mike Boynton mentioned how they needed to sign shooters, specifically 3-point shooters, and Lindsay fits the mold of that.
Mike Boynton and Co. offered Lindsay, a three-star and top-200 prospect, back in July 2021, one of close to 20 schools to do so. Less than a month later, Lindsay included the Cowboys in his top six.
The Cowboys currently have one signee in the 2022 class, four-star guard/small forward Quion Williams out of Jonesboro, AR.
