Former Oklahoma State receiver James Washington is once again a Cowboy.

It was announced Friday evening that Washington has signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

What’s fun about this news is it comes just a few days after former Oklahoma State and Dallas receiver Dez Bryant sent out a tweet saying Washington was going to become a Cowboy.

Washington, who’s originally from Stamford, TX, three hours west of Dallas, was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In three seasons, he’s played in 60 games and has caught 114 passes for 1,629 yards and 11 touchdowns.

In his three years at Pittsburgh, he played behind receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool.

In the past few weeks, Dallas has moved Amari Cooper to the Browns, while also losing Cedrick Wilson to the Dolphins. So, the addition of Washington to go along with CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup is a solid move.

During his time in Stillwater, Washington became one of the most productive receivers in program history. He hauled in 226 receptions for 4,472 yards and 39 touchdowns. He was a multi-time All-Big 12 receiver, as well as a unanimous All-American and Biletnikoff Award winner following his 2017 season.
