STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and Mike Boynton and Co. are working to fill the remaining spots of the 2021 class, but they’re also working on future classes as well. On Monday, the Cowboys made the cut of eight for four-star 2022 Sunrise Christian forward, Gradey Dick.

The Cowboys made the cut along with Alabama, Baylor, Kansas, Illinois, Florida, Texas Tech and Purdue.

Dick is a 6-7, 195-pound power forward out of Wichita, KS and Sunrise Christian. Dick was named the 2019-20 Kansas Boys Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year as he averaged 20.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game while as a sophomore at Wichita Collegiate School.

“I like their playing style and how they use their guards,” Dick told 247Sports about Oklahoma State. “One of the biggest things for me was the loyalty that Cade Cunningham showed still going there despite allegations. You can see the pride the players have in the coaches.”

Boynton and Co. offered Dick prior to the start of his sophomore season back in July of 2019, his eighth D1 offer shortly after Creighton, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, OU and Wichita State all offered.

While the Cowboys are still looking for their first piece of the 2021 class, adding a player like Dick to the 2022 class would be a huge boost for the program.
