Pokes Report Podcast No. 21: Tatum Bell
STILLWATER – It’s time for another episode of the Pokes Report Podcast! This is a special episode as former Oklahoma State and NFL running back Tatum Bell joins the guys.
They take a deep dive into Tatum’s journey to Oklahoma State, including his recruiting process and why he chose Oklahoma State over schools such as Nebraska, OU and Texas A&M. They also talk about the transition between Bob Simmons and Les Miles and what it was like to play under Miles for a few seasons, play in a loaded backfield with Seymore Shaw and Vernand Morency and what it was like to beat OU twice.
The last half of the interview, the guys discuss Bell’s journey to the NFL and what his first “I’m in the NFL” moment was with the Denver Broncos.
They also talk about the Oklahoma State current team, who Tatum thinks could be breakout stars in the upcoming season and the job Mike Gundy has done with the program since taking over shortly after Tatum left for the NFL.
