STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is one step closer to potentially landing its running back in the 2023 class as they made the cut for the top running backs in the country.

Parker Jenkins is a 5-10, 185-pound all-purpose back out of Klein Forest HS in Houston, TX in the 2023 class. Rivals rankins him as a four-star prospect, while 247Sports puts him as the No. 25 overall running back in the class and the No. 61 overall prospect out of Texas.

This past season as a junior, Jenkins was solid playing a secondary role behind senior Kendrick Bradley, who posted nearly 1,700 yards on the season. As for Jenkins, he carried the ball 47 times for 427 yards and five touchdowns. He also hauled 20 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns, to combine for 709 total yards on the season.

Those numbers are up from his sophomore season, as he posted 48 carries for 196 years and a touchdown and 12 receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns in 2020.

He’s also a track athlete and posted a 10.8 in the 100 meters in April 2022.

Jenkins’ recruiting process exploded this spring as he’s received all but two of his 30+ offers since the turn of the calendar. Oklahoma State and John Wozniak offered on March 4, which resulted in an unofficial visit to Stillwater just a little more than a month later on April 14.

Jenkins is set to be the primary back for the Eagle this season with Bradley having completed his senior season, and is poised for a breakout season.
