STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is still looking for its first piece in the 2023 class and is hoping it could be a four-star center out of Canada.

On Wednesday, Mike Boynton and Co. extended an offer to Michael Nwoko.

Nwoko is a 6-10, 240-pound center out of The Burlington School in Burlington, NC, but he’s originally from Canada. He currently holds 15+ offers, including Oklahoma State, Boston College, Creighton, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Harvard, Houston, NC State, Northwestern, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest among others.

He’s currently ranked as the No. 133 overall player in the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He also checks as as the No. 27th overall center and the No. 8 overall player out of North Carolina.

Nwoko was one of the instrumental pieces on Canada’s U18 team at this year’s FIBA U18 Americas Championship as he averaged 12.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. In fact, his 8.3 rebounds per game made him the second-best rebounder in the tournament.
