STILLWATER – The project inside Boone Pickens Stadium is continuing and is on pace to be finished in plenty of time by the end of the month and the start of fall camp as the players report on Aug. 1 and will begin practice on Aug. 3. Looks new looks really nice but also looks like the same we had. The custom orange barely looks different. Feels like we could have missed on an opportunity here if the end zones end up the same

Looks great....love the brighter orange! Hopefully they get some rust inhibitor and paint down in the stands and the place will look new/well maintained again!

okay.... I'll bite.

what is wrong with "looking the same" (even though the old turf was really, really faded), and what "opportunity" would we be missing out on?

did you have something specific in mind?

I wouldn't say anything is wrong but this is an opportunity to do something new and creative. Something that appeals more to fans and recruits. What we had looks great sometimes new is good tho. No negative angle here just an observation

I would imagine that's part of the stadium updates being made over the next few years. It doesn't specifically say they're going to repaint, but you'd have to think it'll be something that's done. Here's the story Robert wrote on the upgrades back in March.
