Summer Series: Pokes Linebacker Play for 2022 Has Clements Leading Group He Believes In

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is a place where special things happen, on the football field and off. Joe Bob Clements, who now has the chore of getting a younger group of linebackers ready for this season, is going into his tenth season on the staff. His chore for the fall is a hefty one in working to get those young guys to move into some big shoes left by NFL sixth-round draft picks Malcolm Rodriguez and Devin Harper.

Replacing two linebackers who both made NFL rosters.......I hope we have at least one of the two starters at that level.

A big positive is our DLine experience and talent reducing how much the LBs have to do.

We will find out in season opener as Central Mich has the leading D1 RB. Gonna be fun!

Ya I've seen that guy. I was wishing he would "portal into" OSU when we were looking to add depth this spring. He looks like Jalen Warren II.

Benson is an incredible athlete, along the lines of what you see at Alabama and Georgia. If he dedicates himself to the cerebral part of the game the way Malcolm Rodriguez, Devin Harper and Amen Obonbemiga did, plus avoid injuries, he could be a high round NFL draft choice in the future!
