AJ Ferrari Charged With Sexual Battery

STILLWATER – Former Oklahoma State wrestler AJ Ferrari was charged on Wednesday with sexual battery in Payne County District Court.

A warrant was also issued for Ferrari’s arrest, with his bond being set at $25,000. The news was first reported by Beau Simmons of the Stillwater News Press.

The charge follows the investigation of a report of sexual assault that was made against Ferrari following a protective order which was filed against him on July 5. Following the protective order, the Stillwater Police Department said the case was under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Unit.

"SPD is committed to thoroughly investigating these cases,” SPD wrote in a statement in early July, “Once the investigation is complete the case will be submitted to the Payne County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of filing charges.”

Ferrari is no longer a member of the Cowboy wrestling team.
