STILLWATER – Once again showcasing the strength of the program and enduring support from the fan base, Oklahoma State football has already surpassed last year’s season ticket total, the athletics department announced Monday.

OSU is on pace to sell more than 45,500 season tickets. Last year, OSU peaked at 44,800.

This includes Student POSSE All Sports Pass tickets, which are 2,500 ahead of the same day in 2021 and are currently on pace to sell out. If this were to occur, it would be OSU’s second ever student ticket sellout. 2021 saw OSU’s second highest ever All Sports Pass sales total.

These season ticket totals mark the first non-Bedlam year increase since 2012, as the program builds on its 12-2 season capped by a Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame.

Oklahoma State is scheduled to open the 2022 season September 1 when it faces Central Michigan at Boone Pickens Stadium, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. CT on FS1.

There are many special events surrounding games at Boone Pickens Stadium this season, such as:

  • Sept. 10 - Stripe the stadium orange and white for the OSU football team reunon and honoring 2002 Cowboy football team.
  • Sept. 17 - Family weekend and teacher appreciation.
  • Oct. 8 - Roots and Boots and Bob Fenimore Ring of Honor game.
  • Oct. 22 - Homecoming and Orange Out.
  • Nov. 12 - Military Appreciation and Black Out.
  • Nov. 26 - Senior Day and OSU Posse Appreciation.

Public season tickets for Cowboy football are on sale now and provide the best value and seating options for fans. Tickets are available online through okstate.com/tickets and by calling or texting 877-255-4678.

Not sure your list is accurate, especially since it only lists games before 2012.

OU in 2015 and 2017 , Baylor in 2017 and TCU in 2017 should all be on the list. I'm sure there are others.

I know we've announced over 59,000 in the past.

I had done a few searches to come up with that list.... I went to Wikipedia and here's what they list, which does not include some of the games that you listed. The 2019 Press Release says this: The capacity of Boone Pickens Stadium was reduced to 56,790 for the 2017 season and the Cowboys sold out every game.

I dunno.... I'd prefer to focus on season ticket sales. (the goon games should be lower because only season ticket holders allowed). I think all of the top 10 games listed below are above our current capacity

Yeah, I wasn't necessarily asserting the games I listed as Top-10, but instead that they were more attended than many of your list.

Btw, of course the top - 10 attendance games were under Mike Gundy. He's the only HC we've had to coach a game in BPS. Duh

BTW, even if we ever get a new HC, they won't beat Gundy's attendance records with our diminished stadium, so there is that.

yet another reason to sing Gundy's praises.... !!!
