Keep an Eye on Johnson, Our Top Sleeper in Oklahoma Prep Class of 2023

Johnson is 6-4, 205-pounds and could end up playing either side of the ball and any one of six positions. I like him as a linebacker or Cowboys back (tight end).

EDMOND – Honestly, Markell Johnson has done a little of everything for Edmond Memorial Bulldogs football. Last season before David McComb situated himself as the quarterback as a freshman, Johnson completed 34-of-68 passing for 603-yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 157-yards on 60 carries. Playing defense, primarily at safety as a 6-4, 195-pound he did a nice job of defending passes and occasionally jumping the quarterback on a safety blitz.
