Bray Among Cowboys that Will Miss the Opener
STILLWATER – Moments before kickoff for the 2022 season and Oklahoma State will start the new campaign with a pair of offensive starters sidelined. In a practice situation a little reminiscient to last season when receivers began dropping like flies in the preseason and early games the Cowboys saw wide receiver turned Cowboy back Blaine Green go down in camp with an arm injury. He could be back in time, but will miss a substantial part of the season. He played as a freshman, so he has a red-shirt year where he could come back late and the season not count for him. Wide receiver Jaden Bray is out for this game as well. His future availability is TBD.
It is known that back-up linebacker Jeff Roberson, who had a strong spring and fall camp is out for the season with a foot injury. Running back Deondre Jackson, the transfer from Texas A&M is academically eligible, but has a trascript issue with his former school. That had already been reported. It is expected that Jackson will be available for the upcoming game with Arizona State.
The only other injury known beyond bumps and bruises is Cowboy back Jake Schultz. The former defensive end turned to the offensive side in the spring has an injury that will keep him out for this game only.
After a very physical fall camp and week and a half of game preparation everybody else is ready to go.
