STILLWATER – Even though we’re still inching towards the 2023 class, Oklahoma State and Mike Boynton have extended an offer into the 2026 class.

Jalen Montonati, a forward for Owasso in the 2026 class took to Twitter on Wednesday to report the offer.

Montonati, the son of former Oklahoma State and Eddie Sutton standout, Brian Montonati, checks in at 6-7 and is going to be a force to be reckoned with throughout his prep career. The height and skill is there, he just needs to continue to develop and gets bigger, which will come throughout his four years in high school.

This past season as an eighth grader, Jalen averaged 28 points and 12 rebounds a game for Owasso, according to the Tulsa World.

Brian Montonati, Jalen’s dad, played three seasons at Oklahoma State, 1997-2000, and was a force. During his final season, the 6-9 forward averaged 12.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Oklahoma State is currently in the midst of trying to put together the 2023 class. Brandon Garrison is the first of two commitments for Mike Boynton and Co. in the ‘23 class. Garrison checks in as the No. 37 overall prospect in the class, according to the ESPN Top-100 rankings. He was joined in mid-August by 6-1, 190-pound Ellison HS combo guard, Jamyron Keller. Keller checks in as the No. 141 overall prospect in the class, according to 247Sports.
