Key Match-Ups and Predictions for Week No. 2: Defense Looks to Improve

STILLWATER – It’s a huge week in the Big 12. Forget the Alabama at Texas game. Texas and Oklahoma are not really Big 12 schools as much as they are future SEC members, so frankly, the other 12 Big 12 members and future members shouldn’t care what happens to the Longhorns and the Sooners. This week Kansas State welcomes in a former Big 12 member that is now in the SEC. Big game from an image standpoint.

"A program that has national recognition, one that competes at the highest level in basketball and football, stands for the right things, is a good cultural fit," he said.

New Mexico? Plays football in D1-A, and basketball in "The Pit" use to be nationally renown.

San Diego State fits the same bill..

the other 12 Big 12 members and future members shouldn't care what happens to the Longhorns and the Sooners --- Pretty sure we, even before they abandoned ship, always cheered for them to lose. No changes to that, at least for moi!

Top targets should be Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and one other. I used to say Colorado but supposedly the brass there does NOT wanna rejoin the Big XII so off the Mountain West Conference! It's obvious that UW, Oregon, and Cal want to join the B1G, maybe Stanford as well.

If they or even one gets approved the Pac-10 minus Conference is toast. Who are they going to add that looks like a good fit? I can only name one, San Diego State. Boise doesn't add much, it's a small media market and they're really only good in football, er, was good. This year's team looks below average, if you saw their game w/ Oregon State...ouch! Who else looks good, Fresno State, San Jose State, Wyoming, any MT school, Colorado State (maybe best option among these), Air Force, New Mex, New Mex State, Idaho, Idaho State....? Answer: I don't think so, they're toast if even one Pac 10 and counting leaves for B1G.

I had some questions about that statement as well...

those 2 may be off to the SEC soon, but this year their performance(s) will definitely add or subtract to the perception of the B12, in terms of our conference champion making the playoff.

Of course it matters if Texas beat Bama, or if the horns get crushed by bama (and then play everybody else tough, even beating a few conf teams)

I challenge relevance.

You're just trying to pick a fight again.... dang your silly hide.

did you mean "physically being there"? (which is irrelevant to the discussion).

besides, it's not "never", I attend when I can, I'm just not in a position to drop my family obligations and spend thousands of dollars to see one event.

but hey, keep mocking others, it fits in with your cyber stalking and bullying.

Point is, it's probably fair to assume someone that does spend thousands to attend college sports might know something about it. Versus, we'll you know, someone that doesn't.

let me repeat myself. since you actually MISSED THE POINT.

IT IS IRRELEVANT.

do I need to post a definition of that word for you?

you have no freaking idea what you're talking about, and you're always wrong, and it does not matter how much you spend to be that wrong.

The two teams that I posted do fit that bill (outlined by the Comish), too bad you don't know enough about college athletics to recognize it. Try spending more money, maybe that will enlighten you.

If the PAC chooses to hang together, and the Comish still wants to expand out West, then who do you suggest fits that description? UNLV? Boise? Who?

you just want to pick fights. Go away until you can learn how to play nice.

Hey, I get it now... how about you spend thousands of dollars to fly me out to the games, then I can be as smart as you.

How about it? Believe me, it's a great deal. I'll be much more informed about college athletics if you spend money to fly me out to Stilly.... that's how it works right?

LOL - I don't know how you come up with some of your absolutely nonsensical comments.
