STILLWATER – Oklahoma State basketball moved up to No. 11 in the 2023 class rankings following the commitment of four-star forward, Justin McBride.

It also moved them into second in the Big 12 rankings behind Iowa State.

McBride, a 6-7, 210-pound power forward out of Plano (TX) High School, marked the fourth commitment in the 2023 class for Mike Boynton and Co.

The 247Sports composite rankings currently McBride as the No. 118 overall prospect in the 2023 class, the No. 25 overall PF and the No. 11 overall prospect out of Texas.

McBride, who was AAU teammates with fellow OSU commit Jamyron Keller on the EYBL circuit team, Drive Nation, averaged 13.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists during the EYBL circuit over the summer.

As for Keller, he’s a 6-1, 190-pound combo guard out Ellison HS in Killeen, TX. Keller is currently a three-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 159 overall prospect in the 2023 class, the No. 25 overall combo guard and the No. 18 overall prospect out of Texas, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Keller was one of the key pieces in Drive Nation’s success this summer as they won the Peach Invitational. He averaged 15.1 points on 53% shooting from the field, 4.4 rebounds and four assists per game, while also shooting 34% from beyond the 3-point line.

The first commitment, and key piece in the class was Del City (OK) HS center, Brandon Garrison. Garrison is a four-star prospect in the 2023 class and is currently ranked as the No. 37 overall prospect in the ESPN top 100.

Back in June, Garrison was a member of USA Basketball’s U18 team which won the 2022 FIBA U18 Americas Championship in Tijuana, Mexico, the same team Mike Boynton was an on-court assistant coach for. Garrison averaged six points, 4.3 rebounds and one assist per game.

Broken Arrow’s Connor Dow committed to the Pokes back on Sept. 10. He’s a 6-6, 180-pound shooting guard/small forward who checks in as the No. 3 overall prospect in Oklahoma. This past season as a junior, Dow averaged 15 points and five rebounds per game, while shooting 50% from 3-point range.
