STILLWATER – If you tuned in on Saturday hoping to see Baylor sputter and look like something other than the most physical team on the field in their Big 12 opener at Iowa State then you watched and were disappointed. It was fun for all other teams in the conference to see Texas and Oklahoma lose, but the Bears looked like the defending Big 12 champions and took the lead early scoring the first three times they had the football to go up 17-7 on the unbeaten Cyclones in the second quarter.

Baylor played smart football avoiding turnovers and not committing stupid penalties! I as really surprised to see a Matt Campbell team commit those kinds of mistakes but he has a good amount of newcomers this year to coach up! They really miss Breece Hall!!!

The ISU/Baylor game could have gone the Cyclones way. A couple of key penalties, big penalties hampered them. I thought the teams were fairly well matched. Nevertheless, Baylor will be tough. If we can get decent push off the edges, put pressure on Shapen, then I think we can beat them. SS will play well, the offense will score points. Defense is the key....as usual.GO POKES

and the TE's, Joe, they really don't have the same caliber of TEs as they touted out there last season.

they're not going to beat a team like Baylor with 3 TO's either... heck, they probably won't beat any B12 team with 3 turn overs.

Frankly, I didn't think either team look all that good, with all those sacks and TFL given up by both offenses.

perhaps we were seeing two really good teams forcing the other team into mistakes, but that by itself doesn't explain their performances in prior games this season.

I'm looking at the stat of BU giving up 26 points @BYU and 24 points @Ames

We need to come out with revenge on our minds. So incredibly impressed with the staying power and consistency in improvement of our program. Don't let the national media tell you there is no favorite in the Big 12. It's us. We are that team, let's go prove that this weekend.
