Robert, the timeline for firing coaches and starting the search may have moved up, but has the actual "hiring" of coaches changed any?
typically a school names somebody interim, and they finish out the season, I don't recall seeing many coaches changing jobs mid-season and taking over somebody else's existing program - they'll need to fire coaches, etc..
are new coaches being hired more quickly (i.e., in late November or 1st weeks of December, or do the schools still drag it on a bit even past bowl season?
Clearly a new coach would like to begin earlier so they could get assistants in place and have some impact on the recruiting class (or possibly limit transfers out), but have coaches been hired earlier than in the past?
Thanks
