Key Match-Ups and Predictions as Pokes Host Red Raiders in Big 12 Game No. 2

STILLWATER – The win at Baylor last week was big and sets the Cowboys on a course to get back to the Big 12 Championship Game, but that is just one of nine conference games. There is a lot of work to do, and this team gets to show how mature they are this Saturday. Maturity is not letting yourself go after a big win and getting back to work and preparing with the knowledge that any slip up can set you back on achieving your goals.

here are the numbers as presented by Cowboy Brew.... a couple of them stick out.

Their defense isn't too bad, and worse at rush defense. They pass the ball, and do it pretty good, and we're not so good defending the pass.

I'm expecting OSU to have a heavy dose of rushing with some occasional shots deep. Tech will do everything to get the ball out quick, flat passes, screens, slants over the middle, dink and dunk as far as it gets them.

That's where it opened but has tightened up to the 9.5 since.

LT Etinene is about to get eatin alive by there by DL/DE. Hopefully they give him help all day. He is going to need it. Spencer is gonna have to round for his life with all the pressure. This is a bad game coming off the Baylor W.

Didn't day Baylor was a terrible win. Just saying the DE for Tech is the best DE he will have faced. It's not the middle of the defense of Baylor. Totally different.

If that DE gets burnt by enough running plays right at him and screens outside him, it will slow his pass rush down.

Must have lasted all of 10 seconds. Early last Sunday afternoon Caesars had it at OSU -10.

I predicted us to lose, yes. If it wasn't for the KO they would have. They fought hard enough and got out of there. It was a lot closer than you think once you break everything down.

Tech is very good at passing. We are awful at passing Defense. It's a combo I don't like very much. This is going to be like a 48-45 type game.

You predicted we'd get boatraced in Waco. Instead, we were firmly in control of the game from the middle of the first qtr. But please, keep entertaining us with your ifs and buts.

I have actually re-watched the 1st quarter looking at Etienne and Monroe Mills.... both did really really well in the first qtr, I did not see either one get beaten by their man. Not once. (I think 1qtr is a good part of "most of the game" - I plan to continue watching the rest of the game.
